Nyack Library Features Ragtime Music Heroes For Black History Month

NYACK, N.Y. -- In observance of Black History Month, the Nyack Library will hold an exciting musical program, Ragtime Music Heroes, on Thursday, Feb. 18, in the library's Children's Room

City Winds Trio will perform music by Ragtime greats Scott Joplin and Charles "Luckey" Roberts.

The interactive concert will include movement games, building a melody, playing percussion instruments, conducting the musicians and an imaginary drawing project.

The program is for kids grades K - 5 and their families. Register early. Click here to register.

The program starts at 2 p.m.

In addition, throughout the month, follow the path of the Civil Rights Movement with a Story Walk through "This Is the Dream" by Diane Shore and Jessica Alexander. The program will also be held in the Children's Room.

The library is at 59 S. Broadway, Nyack.
