NYACK, N.Y. -- Fidelis Care and Rockland Bakery are two of the five honorees at this year's Worldwide Community First Responder sixth anniversary celebration and fundraising gala .
The gala is being held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at The Time Nyack at 400 High Ave. from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Other honorees are Sciencia Torchon, a nurse, Dr. Mario Nelson and WomenHeart. Mike Snow, senior director for global safety at Bunge Limited will be the keynote speaker while News 12 meteorologist Brysen Van Eck will be the MC.
Fidelis Care, which serves one in every 13 New Yorkers, has been a sponsor of Worldwide Community First Responder for years.
Rockland Bakery, a family run bakery in Nanuet, has donated to and sponsored Worldwide Community First Responder events and activities for many years.
Torchon has dedicated her time to people in need, including working as an interpreter for non-English speaking patients, and as a volunteer for Worldwide Community First Responder.
Nelson, who works at New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center has supported Worldwide Community First Responder for many years through his donations and sponsorships.
