Bailey’s Smokehouse, Blauvelt

Cue the Beef: This place has been the "go to" spot for barbecue for 22 years. Owner Pat Bailey prides himself on bringing "the best BBQ East of the Mississippi" to Rockland.

According to the restaurant's website, the smoking process starts with its own BBQ spice marinated overnight. Items are then slow smoked for up to 12 hours using local hard woods until tender, moist, and full of flavor.

"Consistency is the name of the game," explained General Manager Paul Butler, who also cited the restaurant's longevity to its loyal customer base and great staff. Bailey's is also big on community with a host of local events always on the calendar.
