ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Music lovers can enjoy an evening under the stars listening to a wide range of tunes as the 2017 Clarkstown Family Music Festival kicks off its summer schedule on Wednesday.
The festival, which is held each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Germonds Park and for three Tuesdays at Congers Station Park, features a range of music from rock and 80s sounds to funk and country, will some hits from yesterday thrown in as well.
The schedule includes:
- July 5: Rock
- July 12: Hits from Yesterday
- July 19: 80s music
- July 26: County
- August 2: Oldies
- August 8: R&B, Funk
Congers Station Park:
- July 11: Hits from Yesterday
- July 25: Reggae
In the case of rain on any of the festival days, the event will be held at the Clarkstown Community Center at 9 Lake Road in Congers.
Festival-goers are reminded to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Admission is free.
