Rockland Sons Of Italy Welcomes New Members

BLAUVELT, N.Y.-- Rockland Lodge 2176 of the Order of the Sons of Italy recently welcomed new members at a dinner at the lodge at 46 Van Wyck Road, Blauvelt.

Among new members in attendance was state Sen. David Carlucci and his father, Richard Carlucci.

Also, the club recently presented scholarships to several Rockland County students, including Andrew Galanter and Victoria Newcombe, both of Tappan Zee High School. 

The free Christmas party provided entertainment to 70 children and parents with a magic show, balloon creations, arts and crafts, and a visit from Santa. 

Pizza was donated by Del Arte restaurant in Orangeburg.

The Rockland Lodge 2176 of the Order of The Sons of Italy in America was established in 1966 with the goal of enhancing the image of people of Italian descent.
