Department officials said they wanted to remind the public that the area may be an attractive place to go swimming, but is actually quite dangerous, and is a restricted area.

For the past couple of years, the department has strictly enforced the "No Trespassing," rule, and said they intend to continue to do so.

All 13 charged with trespassing, were swimming, they added.

It is our hope that this strict enforcement policy will help prevent someone from being seriously injured or worse," the department said on Facebook. "RPD will continue to patrol this property on a regular basis."
