CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- As whiteout conditions cover the area, the Town of Clarkstown has canceled some services ranging from garbage pickup to Justice Court sessions.
Although the town officially remains open, residents should not expect garbage and recycling to be picked up on Tuesday. Bulk pickup scheduled for Wednesday will be picked up on March 22. Thursday and Friday bulk pickup will remain the same. Regular garbage pickup is still scheduled for Wednesday. All Justice Court sessions for vehicle and traffic trials have been canceled for Tuesday. Residents will be notified by mail of a new date to appear.
In addition, all Clarkstown bus routes have been suspended for Tuesday in addition to all recreation programs and meetings.
At this time, Congers and Street Community Centers will open as normal at 2 p.m. However, please call the centers before arrival to confirm. Central Nyack and Pascack Community Centers are closed.
