The tolls were deactivated last month and replaced by new cashless tolls on the Rockland County side. The new system in South Nyack doesn't require drivers to stop using either E-Z Pass or a picture of the license plate to send a bill in the mail, according to News 12 Westchester.
Closures will begin starting Tuesday, May 10, with crews removing structures as part of the $3.9 billion bridge revitalization, eventually bringing the cashless tolls back to the Westchester side, according to News 12 Westchester.
