Greenburgh Organizing Motorcycle Task Force After Fatal Crashes

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh officials are looking to organize a motorcycle task force following a series of fatal accidents in the area, according to Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.

A 37-year-old Greenburgh man was killed when his motorcycle collied with a truck at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Old Tarrytown Road.

Possible initiatives from the committee include a motorcade between the scenes of two fatal accidents. The motorcade would place remnants of bikes involved in the accidents to remind motorists to remain safe.

Feiner also contacted the Automobile Club of New York to organize a campaign to encourage motorists to be more aware of motorcyclists and motorcycle riders.

The motorcycle safety committee's next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
