The 590-acre park will welcome bikers and hikers to share a multi-use mountain bike trail. Led by the community group Palisades MTB they plan to carve out a single-track trail five miles long and between one and two-feet wide throughout, according to lohud.com.

Since the work on the path began, several local residents affiliated with Friends of Blauvelt Parks are raising issue against the trail, according to lohud.com.
