Officials Close In On Deal For New Civil Service Contract In Clarkstown

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- With less than a month and a half before Supervisor Alex Gromack leaves office, Clarkstown officials are close to a deal with the Civil Service Employees Association for a four-year labor pact that includes a nearly double-digit raise, according to a story on lohud.com.

Clarkstown Finance Director John Sullivan and Deputy Town Attorney Keith Cornell have been negotiating with the CSEA since June. A memorandum of understanding was signed Nov. 10, but the Town Board has yet to be briefed on the details, lohod.com said.

According to Grimack, terms of the contract haven't been finalized and the details were still being worked out, lohud.com said.
