STONY POINT, N.Y. — An 11-year-old boy with hydrocephalus is campaigning with his family to get back the remote robotic education tool that connected him to the classroom while at home, reports lohud.com.
Vinny Forzono became the first student in the North Rockland school district to participate in a pilot program using a "VGo" robot through his home laptop to interact with teachers and students, according to lohud.com.
The pilot program is now over and cost factors have prohibited the robot’s continued use despite the amount of school Forzono misses due to his illness, says lohud.com.
