ROCKLAND COUNTY, N. Y. -- Rockland County Human Rights Commissioner Penny Jennings said the county plans to show a united front against the hate behind the nation's deadliest shooting early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., according to lohud.com.
Jennings announced plans for a Wednesday evening vigil outside the Rockland County Courthouse in New City during Sunday's Pride event in Nyack, reports lohud.com.
Then on Thursday, the Rockland County Pride Center will host a program with the village of Nyack, lohud.com reports.
The annual Pride event in Nyack came just hours after 49 people were killed and another 53 injured in a mass shooting rampage in the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, lohud.com reports.
