Seen Him? Orange County Man Wanted For Child Porn On The Loose

An Orange County man who was busted with child porn more than a year ago and subsequently failed to register as a sex offender has been on the run from state police for more than a year.

New York State Police issued an alert this week in Middletown for Wayne Vandunk, Jr., 26, who was arrested for possessing child pornography on his personal computer last January.

After pleading guilty to the charge, Vandunk was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender, police said. Instead, Vandunk failed to register and never returned to court to answer the charge, leading to a bench warrant for his arrest issued by the Orange County Criminal Court.

Police described Vandunk as a 5-foot-7 African American man with brown hair and black eyes. He weighed approximately 250 pounds at the time of his arrest. Anyone who knows his whereabouts or who spots Vandunk has been asked to contact state police by calling (845) 344-5300.
