AIRMONT, N.Y. -- The family of Fluffy, a silken terrier who has been missing from the Airmont area since Jan. 13, are so desperate to have their beloved dog returned they are offering a $1,000 reward.

Fluffy, who is nine years old, has been missing since the family was out of town and someone else was taking care of him.

"It's like losing a member of our family, we are so sad," the owner said in tears.

The family's other dog has been depressed since Fluffy left and won't eat, she added.

The little dog has been spotted in front of the Airmont Police Department, along some train tracks and on the thruway.

Unfortunately, he does not have his tags on because the family was out of town.

"We can only hope that some nice person has him and will return him to us," the owner said. "We are really desperate."

To return Fluffy and receive a $1,000 reward, call 845-536-2885.
