Valley Cottage Man Charged With Heroin Possession

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Valley Cottage resident was arrested in Ramapo for possession of heroin just after midnight on Friday, April 29.

The 33-year-old male's vehicle was stopped by Ramapo police for an equipment violation. An officer allegedly observed a hypodermic needle and a small amount of heroin upon approaching the vehicle. 

The driver allegedly admitted to being a heroin addict and was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance to the 7th degree and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle.
