CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Clarkstown Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own with the announcement that retired Police Captain William Archaki died Friday.
Archaki began his law enforcement career in 1962 as a patrolman. He rose through the ranks of the department serving as a sergeant, detective sergeant, detective lieutenant and finally in 1988, he was promoted to captain, the Clarkstown police said.
He served as a police captain until his retirement in 1996.
In a Facebook post, the department said: "The men and women of the Clarkstown Police Department send our condolences to his family on their loss of a truly professional police officer who served this great community for over 30 years. May he rest in peace."
