NANUET, N.Y. — Elizabeth "Betty" A. Straut, of Nanuet, died Tuesday, Nov. 29. She was 90.
She was born March 25, 1926, in Booneville, to John and Violet (Brooks) Mills.
She married Walter Straut in 1947 in Pearl River. He predeceased her Jan. 24, 1991. She worked for Bouton's Stationary in Pearl River and for Macy's in Nanuet. She was a member of the Nanuet Ladies Auxiliary and liked to garden, crochet and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Harold Straut and his wife Debbie; and grandchildren, Brianna and Straut.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Ted Mills.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc., 728 W. Nyack Road, West Nyack, where services will be at 8 p.m. with the Rev. David Lothrop officiating.
