WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Gloria M. Vallone, of West Nyack, died Friday, May 27 at home. She was 86.
Vallone was born July 16, 1929 in the Bronx to James and Mary (nee Walsh) Ancona.
She was a seamstress and designer who designed and constructed wedding gowns in her home, and made custom furniture and designs for the American Girl dolls with her husband.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister Elinor; and brother Joseph.
Vallone is survived by her husband Philip; three children, Elinor Romer and her husband Todd, Rock, and Catherine McCarthy and her husband James; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Church, 36 W. Nyack Road, Nanuet.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
