NANUET, N.Y. -- Nanuet resident Louis J. Corbo died on Sunday, Jan. 24. He was 90.
Born in New York City, Corbo served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in World War II. He was a police officer with the N.Y. Police Department and retired as a sergeant in the Youth Squad after 30 years of service.
Corbo is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marie; sons Peter Corbo and Joseph Corbo and his wife, Susanna; and grandchildren Robin Corbo, Louie Corbo and Maria McGlade.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 29, at the Church of St. Anthony, in Nanuet. Burial was to be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Valhalla.
