Margaret M. O’Gorman, 52, Of Valley Cottage

VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- Margaret M. O’Gorman, of Valley Cottage, died Aug. 7. She was 52.

She was born in Nyack in 1964 and graduated from Nyack High School and Rockland Community College.

She will be remembered for her creative spirit, caring nature, independence and beautiful smile.

She worked at Traverson’s Wooden Indian and fought a long battle against mental illness with the help and support of her family, MHA of Rockland County and PROS.

She is survived by her parents, Patrick P. O’Gorman and Helen Jean Traverson O’Gorman; siblings, P. James O’Gorman, Kelly Ann Pifer and Gregory T. O’Gorman; five nieces; and two nephews.

Family and friends will celebrate her life at a memorial Mass at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s RC Church, 16 Jefferson St., Nyack.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Ann’s Food Cupboard, 16 Jefferson St., Nyack, NY 10960.
