WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- Rita Aquilino, of West Nyack, died on Saturday, Dec. 3. She was 91.
Born in Yonkers, Aquilino had lived in West Nyack since 1961. She was a longtime member of the West Nyack Fire Department Lady's Auxiliary and the West Nyack Senior Citizens Club.
She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and "More than anything she cherished the time she spent with her family," information from the funeral home noted.
Aquilino is survived by her children, Judy Jasinski and her husband John, and Gerard and his wife Suzanne; grandchildren Kevin, Lauren and Tara Jasinski, and Nicole and Matthew Aquilino; and brother Frank Iozzo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard ("Jerry"), and her sisters, Angela Pugliese and Virginia Goose.
A mass was held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at St. Anthony's Shrine Church, in Nanuet. She was interred at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, in West Nyack, assisted with arrangements.
