CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Clarkstown Police Department is looking back 30 years on Facebook's Throwback Thursday to 1986 and the creation of the department's K-9 Unit.

On this date, 30 years ago, Police Officer Bob Donaldson and K-9 Ando hit the streets, the first of many officers and dogs to do so. This program is still an important part of the department today.
