High Winds Lead To Numerous Downed Trees In Rockland

High winds, including gusts up to 60 miles per hour, have resulted in numerous downed trees and partial and complete road closures throughout Rockland County on Monday.

Bardonia Road in Nanuet is closed for the remainder of the day after a large evergreen tree came down early in the afternoon.

Many of the downed trees in Ramapo have involved live power lines and numerous roads are partially blocked and others shut down completely, Ramapo Police said.

A High Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday.
