Residents from Edison Court, Yale Drive, and Rigaud Road called the police for reports of larcenies from numerous different vehicles, as well as a stolen vehicle, said Officer Matthew Galli.

An investigation showed the larcenies occurred during the early morning hours Monday, and that is also when the vehicle was stolen, Galli added.

Gallie said the department is asking that residents please secure their vehicles. Do not leave their keys in the vehicle, and do not leave the engine running. They also said to remember to remove all valuables and lock the car each evening.

Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity to the Spring Valley Police Department at 845-356-7400.
