Officers from the Orangetown Police Department were dispatched to an Orangeburg home shortly after 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning, where there was a reported dispute at the Rockland home.

According to police, it is alleged that 25-year-old Orangeburg resident Francensco Turiano was involved in a verbal dispute with another man at the residence, and during the disagreement, he displayed a box cutter in a “menacing matter.”

After interviewing Turiano and witnesses at the scene, he was taken into custody and charged with second-degree menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned on the charges and is due back in Orangetown Justice Court to answer the charges on Oct. 17.
