Frederick Maehrlein was hit near the intersection of Route 304 and Congers Road, around 7:30 p.m., closing the roadway for several hours during an accident investigation, said Officer Peter Walker.
The driver remained at the scene and the investigation is still ongoing and there has been no summons issued or arrest made, Walker said.
Clarkstown Police request anyone who may have information to call the department at 845-639-5800.
