Matthew Beckerle, 52, was sentenced to a term of between one and three years in jail earlier this week in Rockland County Court, according to the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office. He previously spent several months in jail for his role in the crash that injured five people in Clarkstown in 2015, leading to his probation.

In June, Beckerle pleaded guilty to violating his probation after he failed to tell his probation officer that he had been busted for shoplifting at a Kohl’s location in Rockland. Beckerle was convicted of vehicular assault in March last year and spent four months in prison. He's been remanded into the Rockland County Jail.
