Nyack Man Forces Victim To Withdraw Money Before Sexual Assault, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Nyack man claiming he was armed forced a male victim to withdraw money from the bank weeks before sexually assaulting him, Orangetown Police said.

Max Tassy, 27, has been charged with first-degree robbery, burglary, sex abuse, grand larceny and criminal mischief after an investigation by Orangetown Police that ended last week.

After Tassy told his victim he had a gun in the Feb. 14 incident, they proceeded to a bank on North Broadway where the victim withdrew $10,000 and gave it to Tassey, police said.

The victim then reported that on March 26 he was sleeping when Tassy broke through his front door and entered his bedroom, police said. Tassy pointed a handgun at him, sexually assaulted the victim and then demanded the victim go to the bank and withdraw money again, according to police. The victim was able to escape from Tassy and no money was exchanged.

Following an investigation, Tassy turned himself him and was processed at Nyack Justice Court. He was remanded to Rockland County Jail on $50,000 bail.
