NYC Sex Offender, 46, Moves To Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. – A registered sex offender from New York City has moved into a home in Spring Valley, according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.

The man, Marlon Bennett, was convicted in 2012 of third-degree rape in a 2005 case involving a 12-year-old New York City girl, the DCJS said. He was in his thirties at the time.

Bennett, 46, was sentenced to 18 months to three years in state prison. It was not known exactly how much time he served.

According to authorities, he is now living on Sharon Drive in the village, which is located in the towns of Ramapo and Clarkstown.

He also goes by Marten Bennett and Mashon Bennett, the NYSDCJS said.

He is described as 5-foot-7, 190 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
