Orangeburg Man, 20, Charged With DWI In Stony Point

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Stony Point Police nabbed an Orangeburg man for DWI following a car crash on Tuesday, July 11, according to the Stony Point Police.

Griffin Urruttia-Orme, 20, was charged with DWI after officers found him intoxicated while investigating a traffic crash around 8:30 p.m., on Willow Grove Road, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.

Urruttia-Orme was released with four summonses to return to court.

Other recent arrests by the Stony Point Police include: 

  • Daniel Santos, 22, of Campbell Hall, was charged with aggravated driving with suspended license, his license has been suspended eight times, following a traffic stop on Saturday, July 8 on Route 9W. He was processed and released.
  • Jamal Johnson, 30, of Stony Point, was charged with aggravated driving with a suspended license, his license has been suspended 14 times, following a traffic crash on Cedar Flats Road on Sunday, July 9. He was processed and released.
  • Franklin Encarnacion, 21, of Stony Point, was charged with aggravated driving with a suspended license, his license has been suspended 10 times, on Wednesday, July 12 during a traffic stop on Route 9W. He was processed and released.
  • Raul Johnson, 27, of Haverstraw, was charged with false personation after he gave a fake name to police on Thursday, July 13, after being warned that it was illegal to so. He also had a small amount of marijuana and an arrest warrant from  Stony Point Court. Johnson was remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
