CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Clarkstown police are warning speeder's to back off the gas pedal in the area of Clarkstown North High School or face receiving a whopping ticket.
The department's Traffic Unit will be enforcing the traffic laws in the area after receiving numerous complaints from students and parents.
Because speeders put students at risk, the unit said they will have zero tolerance for those disobeying traffic laws for the rest of the week, beginning Monday.
"We cannot afford to have one of our children senselessly injured or killed at the hands of a reckless driver," police said.
