Police said when they responded to the crash around 4:15 p.m. on Route 202, they discovered that the driver and passenger of the car that caused the crash had switched seats to hide the fact that the actual driver was intoxicated,  Ramapo police said.

The only problem was the new driver was also intoxicated and at one point had moved the vehicle, so both men were arrested, according to Det. Lt. Mark Emma.

Marvin Feeley, 26 and Joseph Gordon, 25, both of Sloatsburg, were charged with DWI. Feeley was also charged with obstruction and for an outstanding warrant, Emma added.

Both men were released and are scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
