RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Ramapo doctor and his lover have been charged in a plot to kill his wife, according to multiple reports.
Ira Bernstein, a 41-year-old podiatrist, and Kelly Myzner Gribeluk, 36, of Airmont, were arrested Monday and charged with felony conspiracy and solicitation, according to a report by lohud.com .
Bernstein and his wife have three children and were in the midst of a divorce, while Gribeluk is divorced and has three children of her own, lohud.com story reported.
The pair are also accused of plotting to have two health insurance investigators, who were looking into fraud charges against Bernstein, the lohud.com story said.
Gribeluk was in the news back in 2014 when she engaged in a nasty custody battle for her children.
According to a report in The Rockland County Times at that time, the then-Monsey resident had accused her former husband, Guillermo “Moshe” Gribeluk, of molesting their children.
Gribeluk, then a member of the Satmar Hasidic Jewish community, had divorced her spouse in 2011, alleging that he was angry and physically abusive and had inappropriately touched their children, The Rockland County Times report said.
Despite the children’s stated desire to stay with their mother, a state court ruled in favor of Gribeluk’s ex-husband, the report said.
