Suspect On Loose In Route 304 Hit-Run That Leaves Man Seriously Injured

The Clarkstown Police Department is asking the public's help in locating the vehicle and driver in a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Route 304 and Third Street in New City late Tuesday night.

The victim, a 40-year-old New City man who was crossing the street around 10:30 p.m., sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical attention, police said. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV  heading southbound on Route 304.

The victim was transported to Nyack ER for medical attention and suffered extensive injuries and his current medical condition is unchanged.

The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating the accident.
