Detectives with the Wallkill Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a suspect that stole a Salvation Army Charity bucket from outside a supermarket.
Police were dispatched to ShopRite on Lloyds Lane following reports of a larceny from a volunteer from the Salvation Army, who stated that a man took the bucket and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to police, after snatching the bucket, the suspect fled on foot down Route 211 east. The suspect has been described as a white male who is approximately 6-foot tall and heavy set. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and mask when he stole the bucket.
