Suspects Caught After Stealing From Airmont Store, Thefts In Orangetown

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two suspects are behind bars after stealing more than $1,000 from an Airmont store on Friday and also committing thefts in Orangetown, Ramapo Police said.

The suspects -- a 29-year-old from Nanuet and 26-year-old woman from the state of Florida -- were located by police after fleeing in a vehicle.

In addition to the numerous stolen items from the Airmont store, they were also in possession of additional stolen items from Orangetown, police said. 

The Nanuet resident, whose name was not released, by police, was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. The Florida woman, who faces the same charges, was also found to be in possession of marijuana, heroin and hypodermic needles.

The two were arraigned and sent to Rockland County Jail.
