Suspicious Package Outside Sain Building Turns Out To Be Greeting Cards

A suspicious package that was found outside of the Sain Building in New City turned out to a box of greeting cards, said the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.

The incident took place around 12:43 p.m., Thursday, at 18 New Hempstead Road, when the box fell off a UPS truck making deliveries, said Chief William Barbera.

The department's bomb squad and bomb dog responded to make sure the contents were not explosive, police said.

"The box was supposed to delivered to a store in New City," Barbera said
