Tarrytown Man Charged With Felony DWI In Route 9 Stop

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Tarrytown resident Edison Zhinin, 35, for driving while intoxicated (a Class E Felony) on Saturday.

Zhinin was stopped by police on State Route 9 in Peekskill for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel, police said. An investigation conducted by the arresting officer revealed that Zhinin was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Zhinin was charged with felony DWI when a criminal history revealed a previous DWI- related conviction from June of 2010, according to police.

He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the City of Peekskill Court on Monday, Dec. 28, at 11:00 a.m.
