New York State Police troopers were dispatched to Halls Corner Road in Dover at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, where there was a reported crash. The subsequent investigation into the crash determined that 17-year-old Dover resident Jorge Guzman had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol with a child under the age of 16 in the car.
Troopers arrested Guzman, who was charged with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child less than 16 in the vehicle. After being transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital, Guzman was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in the Town of Dover Court on May 14 to answer the charge.
