Clarkstown Voters Approve New School Budget, Incumbent School Board Members

Here's an overview of the outcome:

Clarkstown: Voters approved the proposed $206 million school board budget by a margin of 1,785-488. Board of Education candidates, Darin Diamond, and David Gosman retained their seats.

East Ramapo: The $232.6 million proposed budget was overwhelmingly defeated, 9,986 to 1,441. 

Mahopac: Voters approved a $120 million budget while also giving the nod to a proposal for monies to purchase a new bus. 

Nanuet: Voters gave the thumbs up to the proposed $71.9 million by a margin of 512-154.

North Rockland: The School Board received overwhelming support for its $216.6 million budget.

Nyack: Voters approved the proposed $83 million budget by a 1,113-246 margin. incumbents Leann Irving, Jennifer Marraccino and James Marshall were re-elected, along with Beth Davidson and Michael Lockett.

Pearl River: Voters gave the okay for the board's proposed $65.8 million budget as well as passing a proposition to borrow $29 million for district-wide renovations.

Ramapo Central: Voters approved the $137.3 million schools budget by a 3,230-810 margin. Paul Shapiro and Thomas Donnelly were elected to the Board of Education.

South Orangetown: Voters approved the proposed $88.9 million budget. Christine Lee was elected, and Leon “Lonnie” Jacobs was re-elected, to the South Orangetown Central School District Board of Education.
