FestaVille After-School Program Provides Productivity, Fun

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- FestaVille, the new after school program at Felix Festa Middle School, has a lot to boast about.

A new after-school program for students in grades 6-8 at Felix Festa Middle School offers fun and learning at the same time.

The program, run through the Community Learning Center with Greg and Deb Mikesh at the helm, is offered everyday after school for 6-8 grades from dismissal until 6 p.m.

Students who participate in the program are provided with homework help and study skills by the teachers who are part of the FestaVille staff. After the homework portion is over, students get to take part in numerous activities such as board games, crafts, iPads, etc.

More than 64 percent of the students achieved Honor Roll status this report card and 36 percent of those achieved the elite status of High Honor Roll. Overall, FestaVille students achieved an average of 90 percent on their report cards.
