State Names Clarkstown South High School A Reward School

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- New York State Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia recently identified Clarkstown High School South as a Reward School.

Two hundred and twenty schools were identified as Reward Schools for being among the top 20 percent in English language arts and math performance in the last two academic years, or among the top 10 percent of schools for gains during the 2014-15 academic year.

Reward Schools also made adequate yearly progrress for all groups of students on all accountable measures and did not have large gaps in student performance on an accountability measure between members of an accountability group and other students.

Clarkstown High School South will receive a certificate of recognition from Elia.
