Darien Landlord-Tenant Dispute Lands 1 In Jail, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged disorderly conduct following a dispute between a landlord and a tenant. Darien resident Robert Snyder, age 57, was arrested on Sunday, April 7. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police officers took a report regarding an issue a landlord was having with a tenant. The complainant said that when entering a shared common area, the complainant and Snyder had a verbal confrontation, which was witnessed by another person, Skoumbros said. 2 Hit By Pickpocket At Darien Trader Joe's, Police Say Two people in a week have been the victim of a pickpocket at a Fairfield County Trader Joe's. The first incident occurred on Monday, April 1, at the store at 436 Post Road in Darien. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, a woman told officers she was shopping at Trader Joe's around 12:45 p.m. when she realized her wallet was missing from her purse after shopping in the store. Woman Charged With DUI In Wilton After Hitting Mailbox, Police Say A Fairfield County woman has been accused of driving drunk after she allegedly backed into a mailbox and failed field sobriety tests. Kiana Diaz, age 26, of Newtown, was busted in Wilton on Range Road at 12:08 a.m. on Monday, April 1. According to Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police, police on the scene found that Diaz had backed a 2024 blue Kia Seltos in a mailbox. Police: Man Spends $5K With Forged Checks In South Windsor A 31-year-old Connecticut man was nabbed for allegedly using several forged checks to spend $5,000 at Costco, police say. Daniel H. Falvey, age 31, of East Hartford, was charged on Thursday, March 28, on an active warrant and charged with larceny and issuing a bad check. According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Falvey's arrest stems from a January investigation in which police found he used several forged checks from an East Hartford business to purchase the items at Costco.
