Faccone, of Fairfield, died on Saturday, Sept. 17. He was 77.  Born on Feb. 13, 1939, he worked for Solar Compounds as a Chemical Engineer for over 40 years and was a member of the Chemical Engineer Association. He was a huge Giants and Yankees fan.  Faccone is survived by his sister, Micki and her husband Bob Logan. New Fairfield Student Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Matthew Rossi, a student at New Fairfield High School was named a semifinalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.  The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced the 16,000 semifinalists in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program this week.
