Artists Gather For Outdoor Show At Grove Street Plaza In Darien
DARIEN, Conn. -- More than 20 Fairfield County artists will stage an outdoor art show in downtown Darien at the Grove Street Plaza all day Saturday, Sept. 24.
The Paris-themed event promises artists from around town, crepes, baguettes, live chamber music, a strolling magician, demonstrations by a chocolatier, and a new youth art annex to the main plaza. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Darien Library art gallery, and the rain date is Oct. 1. There is no admission charge.

Joseph A. Faccone, 77, Of Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Joseph A. Faccone, of Fairfield, died on Saturday, Sept. 17. He was 77.
Born on Feb. 13, 1939, he worked for Solar Compounds as a Chemical Engineer for over 40 years and was a member of the Chemical Engineer Association. He was a huge Giants and Yankees fan.
Faccone is survived by his sister, Micki and her husband Bob Logan. He is predeceased by his sister, Rosemarie Faccone.

Local Musicians Tune Up For Beatles Night At The Darien Arts Center
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center will host a Beatles Night on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. in the DAC Weatherstone Studio.The one-night event will feature a live band of local musicians performing favorites made popular by the Fab Four. Paul Block, Gary Kristoph, Frank Riccio, Lou Patrick, Mike Conin, Claire Kenny, Chris Balestriere and Darien resident Robert Schaffer comprise the band that will perform two sets of Beatles hits. Schaffer, a life-long Beatles fan, and Regina Elliott, DAC Stage committee chair were part of the decision process that led to the event at the DAC.
