Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Woman Strikes Telephone Pole, Killed In Route 35 Crash In Woodbridge: Police A 67-year-old woman was killed after she suffered a medical emergency and ran into a telephone pole in the Colonie section of Woodbridge, authorities said. Barbara Czyzewska, of Aberdeen, was southbound on Route 35 (St. George's Avenue) at about 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 22 when she lost control of her Subaru, Woodbridge police said. Man Awarded $750K Over 30-Year-Old Sex Assault Case At Salem County Youth Facility A man from Woodbury has won a $750,000 lawsuit for sexual assaults that he was allegedly subjected to at a Salem County youth shelter 30 years ago. Dennis Bachman filed suit in Superior Court in December 2019, accusing a female counselor of sexually assaulting him at the former New Jersey Juveniles in Need of Supervision facility in Woodstown. The alleged abuse occurred around 1994 when Bachman was 15 years old. Tractor-Trailer Flips On New Jersey Turnpike A tractor-trailer overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Wednesday, March 27 at the entrance from Route 18 to Interchange 9 in East Brunswick, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling west towards the tolls, according to New Jersey State Police. The driver lost directional control and subsequently overturned, State Police said. The driver sustained minor injuries, police said.
