NYACK, N.Y. -- A $22.2 million Nyack Hospital addition will get started soon, according to lohud.com.

A proposed two-story addition, which will contain 16,300 square feet, will be the new home of the emergency department and a facility for outpatients. The plan was approved by the village Planning Board, said lohud.com.

It will be the biggest upgrade in hospital history, according to lohud.com.

Various stages of construction will take place to avoid interruption to hospital services, with a projected start late fall, said lohud.com.
