Foodtown To Fill Vacant A&P Store In Valley Cottage

VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- Foodtown is taking over the vacant A&P in Valley Cottage, and local officials are hoping the new supermarket will be open by May, according to a report by lohud.

A Foodtown will be taking over the spot left vacant by the A&P in Valley Cottage, possibly as soon as May.

A&P, which is undergoing bankruptcy, shut its doors late last year and the closest food chains are in West Nyack and New City, the lohud report said.

Businesses in the Lake Ridge Plaza off Route 303 told lohud that they are happy that there are plans for a new anchor store.
