The Bronx-based Caribbean fast-food chain plans to consolidate its operations in a $37 million office, distribution and manufacturing facility on 17 acres off Route 303, lohud.com reported.

The family-run business would create about 80 new jobs and have a total of 190 employees, the lohud.com report said.

Golden Krust’s plans to break ground last winter were delayed by other business obligations, but the company told lohud.com that it may know more about the project's timetable next month.

Besides the convenient location -- Route 303 is close to the New York State Thruway -- $1.2 million in tax breaks and other incentives helped Golden Krust make its mind up about relocating in Orangetown, the lohud.com story said.
