Nanuet's Avalon Apartment Community Sells For $147M

NANUET – A pair of limited liability companies have joined forces to complete the largest real estate deal in Rockland County’s recent memory with the sale of a Nanuet complex, according to lohud.com.

Harbor Group International LLC and Azure Partners LLC spent $147 million to purchase the 504-unit rental community formerly known as Avalon Gardens, according to lohud.com, which reported that the sale price breaks down to nearly $292,000 per unit.

The community, which was developed in the 1990s, was most recently named “eaves” after Avalon’s suburban brand communities, according to lohud.com.

The 64-building community on the border of Nanuet and Spring Valley will now be named The Peaks of Nanuet Apartment Homes, according to lohud.com, which reported that the development is 97 percent leased.
